On March 19th, it’ll be 4 years since we started providing a free WordPress & Gallery 2 hosting service to folks like you. Unfortunately, in order for us to continue and maintain the service without sacrificing quality, we’re going to impose additional restrictions & new requisites. Our goal is to keep our user base small, minimize clutter and avoid hosting half-empty & zombie accounts, nothing more.
And so without further due, the following requisites must be satisfied by the end of April 2008 - failure to do so will result in a full account removal.
- a minimum of 500 items or more on your Gallery 2 site and/or 10 posts on your WordPress blog
- the default landing page of your subdomain URL must load the content hosted on your account on our server, no full “redirects” to content hosted on another server (although a password protected or blank index page are allowed)
- maintain an up-to-date email contact address - a pattern of bounced emails will result in your subdomain disabled, thereafter, a full account removal.
For new subscribers admitted into the service after that date, they will have an allowance of 2 months before we proceed with a full account removal.
If you choose to move out of our service for these reasons (or any other…), just let us know and we’ll be more than happy to provide everything you need to migrate to your new web hosting provider, no questions asked. Even more generous is that we’ll even mail a CD of your data at no cost to you.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us for assistance if you have any additional questions or concerns.
