date: February 23, 2007 | posted by: steve

11:02PM up 365 days, 8:01, 1 user, load averages: 0.31, 0.73, 0.58

looks like a new milestone for the Negimaki server, finally reaching 12 months (365 days) of server uptime (without being rebooted). Among other things, new releases & security patches have to implemented from time to time, so please do understand that it doesn’t necessarily imply “no interruption” of services. :)

title: Akismet API Key issues?
date: February 19, 2007 | posted by: steve

if you’ve been having issues validating your Akismet API Key for the past 2 weeks - it should start working again today. It turned out we blacklisted an entire-ip range belonging to LayeredTech where the Akismet service is currently hosted - the oversight was mainly due to rampant referer/comment spam and random AWstats/phpBB/dns/sshd exploit scanning coming from a wide range of ips coming from LayeredTech hosted servers.

We’d like to thank Teruhiko (http://teru.negimaki.com/) for notifying us of the issue.
